Well, Baby Bean no longer looks like a bean. In five short weeks, the baby has developed well defined limbs, is moving like crazy, puts its hands in its mouth, and pulls on the umbilical cord.
We had a midwife appointment on Tuesday, and she couldn’t find the baby’s heartbeat using the Doppler. I don’t know if she was really trying all that hard, because she loves ultrasound technology and looking at babies in utero.
The ultrasound machine was a portable machine, so the quality of the image is not great, but we did get to spend some time watching our new little one kick and flutter about.
