Child Identification Sheets

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

On Saturday we ate lunch at Red Robin. As part of a partnership with the Center for Missing and Exploited Children, they gave us a Child Identification Kit for each of our boys.

Today, while the boys were taking their naps, I completed the Child Identification Kit for both of my boys. I did not fill out the card they gave us, instead I created a Word Document added a picture and entered all of the necessary information. After saving the document, I uploaded it to Google Docs and Zoho Docs, so it is readily available anywhere there is a computer with internet access. I also printed out a copy to place in our filing cabinet.

Below is a list of the information I placed on our Child ID Sheets:

It is essential to update the Child ID Sheet every six months with a new picture and to make sure that the other information provided is still accurate. The beauty of having an electronic copy of this information is that it will only take minutes to update. It feels good to have this done. I pray nothing ever happens to my kids, but I do want to be prepared just in case.
