Pictures of Annabella

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

I have had many requests for pictures of Annabella. I have been super slow in processing pictures we have been taking, but below is a smattering of some pictures of our princess during her first two weeks with us.

Annabella’s first trip to the zoo.

After her first bath.

Sporting a gdiaper (we have decided to cloth diaper Annabella).

Her first bath.

Just being cute.

Sucking her thumb.

Dyeing Eggs

Friday, April 9th, 2010

On Easter Sunday we had fun dyeing eggs. Hayden did get frustrated with the scoop thing and ended up putting his whole hand into the dye to retrieve the eggs.

Ethan did quite well with the scoop. he was able to get the eggs out of the cup and put them in the drying tray with the tool.

We only had one egg casualty. Hayden took one of the eggs he dyed and squeezed it with all of his might breaking the shell and squishing the egg. Good thing they were hard boiled….

Another Update on Baby Bean

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

Well, we had our mid-pregnancy ultrasound yesterday. It was amazing to see our little one. The very first visual we got of our Baby Bean was her foot.

While the baby was a bit uncooperative, the ultrasound technician was great. Here are some of the other shots we got of our little one.

Now for the answer to the question that is on everyone’s mind—Are we having a girl baby or a boy baby?

Looks like we are having a baby girl!!! So, we can officially begin calling our Baby Bean by her name, Annabella Marie.

After the technician finished the anatomy portion of the ultrasound, she had to check my cervical thickness. For those of you who are curious, the cervix is like a door that holds the baby in. The thicker the door, the more securely the baby will be held in.

Due to a procedure I had done in October, my cervix is a bit on the thin side. thus putting us at risk for pre-term labor. The doctors have started me on the hormone progesterone and I will have a minor surgery on Thursday called a cervical cerclage. Basically they will sew my cervix shut in essence reinforcing the door that holds the baby in.

Now the fun begins as we start preparing for the arrival of a baby girl. I think Hayden might be warming up to the idea of a baby, especially since I told him she would be a princess (he is really into The Princess and the Frog). We just have to convince Ethan that a girl baby is just as fun as a boy baby.

Style

Hayden definitely has his own sense of style….

I am hoping I can convince him to change before we go and play at the park this morning……
