Over the weekend, UNC-TV (our local PBS station) hosted an event called “Superheroes of Literacy” at Marbles Kids Museum. Several of the boys’ favorite PBS characters were there for a meet and greet.
Both boys were super excited to get to see some of their favorite television show characters in real life, but they were also a bit nervous about getting too close.

The Mama and Papa Bear from the Berenstain Bears and Martha from Martha Speaks were there as well, but the boys don’t really know them and didn’t want to pose for pictures with them.
We also got to see Read-a-Roo. I was surprised that Ethan actually knew who he was and was eager to meet and greet him.

Mr. McFeely from Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood was there and provided personalized autographed photos of himself for each of the boys. David was disappointed that he didn’t get one too.
We played on the pirate ship at the museum for a while. Both boys took turns at the helm steering the ship.

Moving between exhibits, the boys caught sight of the Superheroes of Literacy again and this time Princess Presto was there. Hayden got super excited saying, “Pea, Pea,” over and over again, so we had to go and see her.
