Yesterday after a great day, we were on our way home from Raleigh when we were involved in a car accident.
A guy driving a 2005 Cadillac STS decided to take a turn at 40 miles per hour. He came across two lanes of traffic, the center median, a turn lane of traffic and plowed into the car in front of us. That car spun into the next lane of traffic hitting a minivan.
The Cadillac then bounced into the front wheel and driver side door of our car, scraping down the side of the car coming to a stop at the tail end of our vehicle.

Everyone involved in the accident was able to walk away. There were only a couple of minor injuries reported. Unfortunately though, only one of the four cars involved was able to drive away.
I called and filed a claim last night after we got home. We should have a rental car by the end of the day (I hope), the adjuster should be in touch with us sometime Monday, and hopefully we will be back to normal very soon.
We are so blessed and thankful that the accident wasn’t any worse. We got to meet some really great people out there in the middle of the road. And even though the accident kind of put a damper on the day, we still had an awesome day with our family.
